"Tick Tock"
This is a Carolina Shag mirror pattern.
Level:Advanced
Beats:12
Steps:Rock Step / Front Prep / Back-N-Shift / And Stutter Step / And-Tik-Tok / Back-N-Shift / And Stutter Step
Feel the heartbeat of the Shag! We begin with a grounding Rock Step, a gentle ebb and flow that sets the stage. Then, a subtle Front Prep, like gathering momentum before a sweet reveal. The rhythm deepens with a smooth Back-N-Shift, a momentary sway before the playful syncopation of the And Stutter Step tickles your feet. The energy shifts again with the signature And-Tik-Tok, a crisp and charming punctuation mark in the dance's conversation. We revisit the grounding Back-N-Shift, a familiar comfort before the lighthearted And Stutter Step returns, leaving a trail of joyful, quicksilver steps.
Additional Notes:24-Count Variation - Add Sailors on front and back of the step

Manage club finances: We'll establish a board and a checking account to handle business transactions efficiently. Offer rentals: The dance floor will be available for rent to the public for private events, dances, parties, and more. How Rental Income Will Be Used: Reimbursing Donors: If requested by our donors, our top priority is to repay the generous individuals who have contributed to this project. Funding Club Activities: Once i...
Swing dancing is a vibrant and joyful activity, but did you know your shoes can make a world of difference? Choosing the right footwear isn't just about style; it's about comfort, safety, and enhancing your dance experience. Today, let's delve into the crucial role of shoes in three popular swing styles: Lindy Hop, Carolina Shag, and Philly Bop. Lindy Hop: Energy and Dynamic Movement Lindy Hop, with its energetic swings, turns, and aerials, demands shoes that can keep up. For this dynamic dance, you'll want: Soles: Suede or smooth leather soles are your best friends. They offer that sweet spot between slip and grip, allowing for smooth turns without losing control during complex footwork. Flexibility: Your shoes need to be flexible enough to handle kicks, swivels, and quick changes in direction. Support: Strong ankle and arch support is vital, especially if you're venturing into fast-paced sequences. Comfort: Lindy Hop sessions can be long and intense, so priori...
